A 20 week period commercial pilot. Half of the retailerís DCs had Itís Fresh! transit sheets in all RPCs of stone fruits, the other half were controls with a similar supplier mix.
The retailerís Finance department analysed the data and advised that the reduction in waste and increase in sales justified investment in Itís Fresh!. There was additional support from store-level personnel commenting on the Itís Fresh! benefits in-store, including significant reduction in fruit flies and reduced time spent culling and throwing away spoiled stone fruit. Total roll out on Stone Fruit was initiated in 2014.
